Sterling Morton Elementary School is our newest Hall of Fame School! Sterling Morton was selected by the Ohio
Associa}on of Elementary School Administrators (OAESA) to receive this honor for 2024! The Hall of Fame
School award celebrates elementary schools that provide truly outstanding educa}onal opportuni}es to their
students through e昀昀ec}ve programming and instruc}on. These schools are characterized by an atmosphere of
growth, achievement, pride, and a dedica}on to excellence on the part of sta昀昀 and students. Congratula}ons!!!
>> Having a large number of students enrolled in the district provides an opportunity to o昀昀er many extracurricular ac}vi}es, including sports and clubs,
for students of all ages.
>> Mentor High School’s athle}c department runs 25 Varsity sports teams, 20
Junior Varsity teams, and 10 freshman teams. Our teams regularly win conference and district }tles.
>> Each of the middle schools has approximately 15 sports teams for students.
>> Last school year proved to be a great one for our Mentor High School athletes, with some outstanding accomplishments and even many of our individual compe}tors qualifying for the state level of compe}}on! Congratula}ons to
our Girls Soccer and Volleyball teams for 昀椀nishing their seasons as the District
Champions! Also congratula}ons to our athletes from Wrestling, Track, Gymnas}cs, Swimming and Cross Country for making it to state compe}}on. Our
Football team 昀椀nished its season in the playo昀昀s! It was a big year for Mentor
High School athle}cs!
>> Mentor High School and our middle schools are home to very successful
Science Olympiad teams. In 2025, all of our SO teams quali昀椀ed for Ohio’s State
Science Olympiad Compe}}on! Go CARDS!
